Dog assembly is used to close and lock ship doors and hatches on vessels.
Dog assembly type D, consists of a wedge handle and a spindle ended 19mm square mounted inside the tube. This makes it possible to close the ship's door or hatch from outside, using a special key.
Hiding the key socket in the tube makes it possible to move around the deck, without the risk of catching the protruding lock.
Type D is made on the basis of DIN83104 type B.
Depending on the material, which it is mounted, the tube can be made of steel, aluminium or stainless steel.
